Good Vibes Festival 2024 will no longer be pushing through.

In a statement, the festival explains that on 27 June, they were sent a letter by the authorities stating that "large-scale performances involving international artistes are not to be held on 20 July and are to be rescheduled to a later date, out of respect for the Coronation Ceremony of His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, the 17th Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia".

Since the international artists on the GVF 2024 lineup are part of the international touring circuit, "rescheduling the festival is not possible." Organisers Future Sound Asia have decided to officially cancel the forthcoming event, which was originally scheduled to take place on 20-21 July at Resorts World Awana. All ticket purchasers for GVF will automatically receive full refunds at the point of purchase.

This is the second consecutive cancellation of Good Vibes Festival after last year's 10th-anniversary edition was cut short due to "controversial conduct and remarks" by The 1975's Matty Healy. The organisers have since filed a letter of complaint against the band.
