Barricades shaking, heads banging and mosh pits overflowing was what the 10th Anniversary edition of Hammersonic Festival 2026 was projected to be. However, Ravel Entertainment announced that all ticketholders will be issued a 100% refund, with only invited persons and guests being able to attend and enjoy the lineup of performers that the festival boasts.
The move toward this unfortunate decision was caused by various domino effects that went on behind the scenes in the organisations and lineup structure of the festival. As major headliners such as My Chemical Romance, New Found Glory, and The Story So Far pulled out of the festival, it caused organisers to reconsider pulling the plug on the festival as understandably many would have bought tickets to primarily catch the headliners live in South East Asia.

Official Statement Regarding My Chemical Romance’s Appearance at Hammersonic Festival
We would like to express our apologies to all Hammersonic Festival ticket holders regarding the change in schedule for My Chemical Romance’s performance.
My Chemical Romance will not be performing at Hammersonic Festival according to the previously announced schedule.
However, MCR will return to Jakarta for their standalone concert, My Chemical Romance Live in Jakarta, which will take place on 22 November at Jakarta International Stadium.
As a form of responsibility to fans, all Hammersonic ticket buyers for day two will be given the option of a refund or to have their tickets transferred to the new MCR concert date under the Festival category.
For holders of day one and 2-day Hammersonic tickets, they will receive a refund due to adjustments in Hammersonic Festival ticket pricing.
Ticket sales for both Hammersonic and MCR will be reopened with adjusted new prices.
Complete information regarding the refund mechanism will be announced soon.
Hammersonic Festival will still take place according to the previously announced schedule on 2–3 May 2026.

On 23 April, Ravel Junardy, CEO of Ravel Entertainment, shared that they would be issuing a full refund to those who had previously bought tickets as they chose to move forward as an exclusive private invite-only festival, with only guests being allowed to catch the rest of the acts featured on the stacked lineup. Positioned as a response to changing circumstances and artist availability, the decision makes this Hammersonic’s first-ever closed-door edition.

Seeing the various dynamics that have happened so far regarding the organization of the Hammersonic Festival 2026 and for the sake of maintaining the dignity and dignity of Hammersonic Festival and all parties involved in it, including the performing bands, teams and crew on duty, I hereby convey my decision regarding the execution of the event.
I will fully refund 100% to all Hammersonic Festival 2026 ticket holders. The refund process will start next week.

Although all hope seems lost for those who still wished to catch one of their favourite bands, there is a way that fans may still be able to get an invite to the now private festival. While there is a strict official invitation system in place, those interested to attend can drop a direct message to the official @hammersonicfest Instagram account for further advice on next steps.
Taking place on 2 to 3 May, this sudden move has definitely sparked some disappointment among fans who hope that scheduling conflicts and mishaps like these won't pop up during next year's installment of the festival.
