The winners of the 2024 Crunchyroll Anime Awards have been revealed.
On 2 March (Saturday), Crunchyroll held its annual Anime Awards ceremony live in Tokyo to celebrate the amazing anime titles that hit our screens in the past year. With the likes of GRAMMY Award winning artist Megan Thee Stallion, Japanese singer-songwriter LiSA, Filipina actress Liza Soberano, Parasite director Bong Joon Ho, and many more presenting awards, the stage of this weekend's awarding ceremony was blessed by a diverse cast of creatives from across the entertainment industry.
The 2024 Anime Awards, which was livestreamed globally, also featured musical performances, including the debut performance of the official Anime Awards Theme Song by Hiroyuki Sawano (Attack on Titan, Solo Leveling) and Kohta Yamamoto (Attack on Titan, The Seven Deadly Sins), the opening of Samurai Champloo performed by Shing02, OMA, and SPIN MASTER A-1, and 'Idol' by Japanese pop duo YOASOBI.
"Anime fans from around the world have spoken and collectively, they cast more votes than in the history of the Anime Awards to crown the 2024 winners," Rahul Purini, President of Crunchyroll, said in a statement. "Anime is a powerful force, driving pop culture and connecting global fans and it is a privilege to celebrate and honor this dynamic artform."
