Borneo Sonic Music Festival 2023 will be touching down in Malaysia soon.

The music festival will be happening at Sarawak Stadium, Kuching from 6 to 7 October. With a promising line-up of renowned K-pop and international artists performing alongside local acts, here’s what you need to know to get yourself geared up for an unforgettable weekend.

The festival, marked as the largest music event in Borneo, is set to be an inaugural event in the region, according to the Sarawak Tourism Board. The event is also a part of the STATOS initiative to help promote, connect and link Sarawak to the global market. Over the years, Sarawak has also housed other festivals such as Borneo Jazz and the Tidal Bore Festival.

K-pop Stars

Headlining the festival will be the iconic talents from famed K-pop groups that we’ve come to love in the early 2000s. On the first day, the festival will call upon singer and dancer Hyoyeon from girl group Girls’ Generation, and rapper CL from 2NE1

Day two will see singer-songwriter Taeyang from BIGBANG, and EXO’s group leader Suho.
