HIGHLIGHT, formerly known as BEAST, will ring in the new year with fans in Singapore.
The second-generation K-pop group will headline The Kallang Countdown 2027 on 31 December, leading a concert that will also feature regional and homegrown acts. The celebration will bring together music, community activities, and experiences at The Kallang, formerly the Singapore Sports Hub.
Since debuting as BEAST in 2009, HIGHLIGHT have built a catalogue of fan favourites including ‘Fiction’ and ‘On Rainy Days’, earning multiple Artist of the Year and Song of the Year grand prizes along the way. Their countdown performance promises a set spanning their early classics and more recent releases.
The group last performed in Singapore in September 2024, when they closed their Lights Go On, Again Asia tour in the city.
“We are so thrilled to be returning to Singapore and to be a part of the celebration at The Kallang,” HIGHLIGHT shared. “To headline one of Singapore’s most iconic countdown events is an honour, and we promise to bring incredible energy to the stage. We can’t wait to celebrate with our fans as we ring in 2027 together!”

The countdown caps a busy entertainment season across the precinct. November’s programme includes My Chemical Romance, Ilaiyaraaja, wave to earth, Simple Plan, Guns N’ Roses, and BABYMONSTER, followed by BTS in December.
The calendar continues into 2027 with Jay Chou, Westlife, BOYNEXTDOOR, and Kenshi Yonezu in January; Maroon 5 and YOASOBI in February; Stray Kids and ENHYPEN in March; and beabadoobee and Bruno Mars in April.
The Kallang Countdown 2027 forms part of ONE Countdown 2027, which brings together New Year’s Eve celebrations across Singapore, including in the heartlands. More details on the islandwide festivities will be announced later in November.
