J-pop icon Hikaru Utada has returned with a brand new single titled 'Mine or Yours', out now on all major streaming platforms.
Marking their first release since 2023’s SCIENCE FICTION best-of compilation, 'Mine or Yours' kicks off a fresh chapter in Utada’s legendary career. The track arrives alongside two high-profile appearances set to premiere on The Zane Lowe Show and the wildly popular YouTube channel THE FIRST TAKE.
Their sit-down with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe will be Utada’s first in three years, promising an intimate conversation about art, life, and the journey behind the new single. The episode is available to stream on Apple Music.
Hikaru Utada is also performing 'Mine or Yours' in a stripped-down, one-take format on THE FIRST TAKE. Known for showcasing raw and powerful vocal performances, this marks Utada’s debut on the channel and will be the 544th installment of the popular series.
The release of 'Mine or Yours' follows a string of exciting moves from the artist earlier this year — including three fresh remixes of their track 'Electricity' by Karen Nyame KG, Arca, and salute. Utada also made a surprise appearance at Arca’s set during Coachella in April, marking their second time gracing the iconic festival.
