HYBE Japan launches new label 'NAECO', signs Yurina Hirate

HYBE just launched another label. 

On 20 December, the entertainment powerhouse announced that they have established a new label, NAECO  which will sit under HYBE Japan. An anagram for 'OCEAN', the new label is said to be a new home for artists who have a wide array of talents and who come from a diverse range of cultural and ethnic backgrounds. 

In line with its launch, NAECO has unveiled their first artist: Yurina Hirate, a rising Japanese actress who kicked off her career as part of the popular Japanese girl group, Keyakizaka46 and has since made her mark as an actress, playing notable roles in Hibiki and Roppongi Class, as well as the Japanese remake of Itaewon Class.

Most recently, HYBE Japan also launched their first boy group &TEAM, who were born out of the highly sought out reality competition show, &AUDITION – The Howling

“Following the successful debut of the first global boy group &TEAM, our new label addition NAECO will contribute to discovering and supporting the globalization of artists in Japan. In the new chapter of HYBE JAPAN, we will continue to expand the value chain of the music industry in Japan as a global innovator,” said Han Hyunrock, CEO of HYBE JAPAN.
