Meanwhile, 2020's Global Digital Single Chart number 1 hit, which was originally released in 2019 – 'Blinding Lights' – returns at number 7.

In second place is 'STAY' by Canadian pop superstar Justin Bieber and rising Australian rapper, The Kid LAROI. The song marks the pair's second collaboration together, after 'Unstable' from Bieber's latest album, Justice.

Bieber makes another appearance on the chart at number 6 for 'Peaches,' another track off Justice, this time, featuring Daniel Caesar and Giveon.

'Levitating' by Dua Lipa comes in at third. The track is the pop singer's biggest hit yet, topping charts in the UK, US, and all over the world.

BTS' record-breaking hit single 'Butter' is at fourth place. The song earned IFPI's Global Artist of the Year for 2021 a second consecutive GRAMMY nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. 'Butter' is also the 'Dynamite' act's second Billboard Hit 100 number 1 hit, topping the chart for 10 weeks.

Olivia Rodrigo makes a strong debut with two songs on the chart - her first single and viral hit 'driver's license' at number 5, and 'good 4 u' at number 8. Both tracks are from the breakout star's critically acclaimed and GRAMMY-nominated debut album, SOUR.

In ninth place is Lil Nas X with 'MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)'. Taken off his album MONTERO, the hit single and music video was a commercial success around the world - landing Lil Nas X his second number 1 hit.

Rounding up the top 10 is Ed Sheeran's 'Bad Habits'. A track from his first studio album in four years, the single spent 11 consecutive weeks at number 1 on the UK & Ireland Singles Chart.
