iKON end contract with YG Entertainment, all six members to continue as a group

iKON have parted ways with YG Entertainment.

In a post on the group's official Weverse channel on 30 December, YG Entertainment announced that iKON members Jay, Bobby, Song, JU-NE, DK, and Chan had ended their exclusive management contract in mutual agreement with the South Korean entertainment agency. 

All six members will continue as a group. Additionally, they will still be interacting with fans on their official channels including Weverse.

"Hello. This is YG Entertainment.

We would like to announce that after a long and careful discussion with iKON (JAY, BOBBY, SONG, JU-NE, DK, CHAN), we all have mutually agreed to end the exclusive management contract in respect of each other’s opinions.

Apart from the end of the contract, all six members will act as a group: iKON. In addition, iKON will continuously interact with fans through their official channels including Weverse, the fan community service, as usual.

We would like to express sincere appreciation to iKON for being with us as YG artist.
YG Entertainment will always look forward to their activities in diverse fields and wish the best for the members in the future.

Also, we would like to deeply thank all iKONIC for accompanying iKON on their journey.

In another post, YG Entertainment announced that JU-NE’s We could spend rainy days together Audiobook Behind would no longer be available for purchase after 30 December 2022, 11 AM KST. Fans who have already purchased the VOD Premium Content prior to this announcement can continue to watch the content.

iKON debuted on 15 September 2015 following YG's survival show Mix & Match. This year, they held iKON 2022 CONCERT at the Seoul Olympic Hall, Olympic Park followed by iKON JAPAN TOUR 2022 FLASHBACK.
