ILLIT have released a Korean version of 'I Got Your Back', featuring BLACKPINK star JISOO and MOMOKA of HANA.
'I Got Your Back (Feat. JISOO, MOMOKA of HANA) (Korean Ver.)' brings the song's reassuring message — that "you are not alone" — to a bright rock backdrop of guitar riffs, dynamic drums, and a driving bassline.
The track was originally released in July as the lead single from ILLIT's second Japanese single and served as the main soundtrack for ABEMA original drama The Vacation Principle. It went on to peak at No. 2 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100.
Speaking about the new rendition, ILLIT shared: “‘I Got Your Back’ reflects our honest thoughts and emotions, so we focused on conveying that sincerity through our vocals. While it’s the same song, singing it in Korean gives it an entirely new feel.”
JISOO and MOMOKA, who also appeared on the original Japanese version, return for the release and wrote their own rap verses.
ILLIT are next set to continue their sold-out PRESS START︎ tour, with stops in Hong Kong and encore shows in Incheon and Chiba later this year.
