Indonesian icons Fabio Asher and Andi Rianto unveil their version of Christian Bautista's 'Since I Found You' – listen

Esteemed Indonesian acts – soloist Fabio Asher and renowned composer and songwriter Andi Rianto – have teamed up for their own rendition of Christian Bautista's "Since I Found You". 

The original version, composed by Andi Rianto and Seto Harjojudanto, was popularised by Filipino balladeer Christian Bautista in 2006. Andi Rianto describes the track as a "song about gratitude and appreciation that one feels as they finally found their beloved partner who has completely changed their life for the better."

 “'Since I Found You’ is one of my favourite songs and one that I hold very close to my heart. But as I heard Fabio Asher’s voice, I was immediately convinced that Fabio was the perfect singer to remake this song,” Andi Rianto adds.

Fabio Asher also shared how “Since I Found You” has always been one of his favourite songs. “I have always loved this song, and when I first heard from the Universal Music Team that I had the chance to remake this song, especially with the arrangement and help of Andi Rianto, I jumped right in and took this incredible opportunity!"

The reworked version features a new arrangement, as well as an appearance by the Budapest Scoring Orchestra. 

This being his first song sung in English, Fabio Asher had to get out of his personal comfort zone to bring out what the new version needed. “Thankfully the recording process went quite smoothly. I was a bit nervous at first, as this was the first song that I sang in English. It wasn’t easy and I wasn’t very confident, but with the help of Andi Rianto and Irv Nat, my vocal director, I managed to finally present the song in my own identity."

“Hopefully this song can continue to live on, especially with the new listeners that are now going to discover it for the very first time. I also hope that it can continue to remind us to always be grateful for the existence of love in this life,” shares Andi Rianto.
