Cultural festival Kreatif Connections kicks off this Friday, bringing a host of cross-cultural performances and installations over the weekend to celebrate collaborations and friendships between Singapore and Indonesia.
The three-day festival at the Asian Civilisations Museum will showcase the work of musicians, artists and craft makers from both countries, including an outdoor concert on 29 June featuring performances by local artists Aisyah Aziz and Jasmine Sokko, as well as the multi-talented musician Isyana Sarasvati and rising hip-hop artist Adrian Khalif from Indonesia. Admission is free.
Kreatif Connections caps off the RISING50 celebrations which commenced last year in commemoration of 50 years of bilateral ties between Indonesia and Singapore. The festival will feature a first ever collaboration between Aisyah Aziz and Isyana Sarasvati. Ahead of Kreatif Connections, Jasmine Sokko also recently shared more about her Indonesian heritage in a Facebook post:
Kreatif Connections will take place from 29 June to 1 July at the Empress Lawn and Asian Civilisations Museum. Admission is free. For more information on the festival line-up, visit the event page here.
