SXSW Sydney is now underway.
The first iteration of the famed conference showcase festival outside of Austin, Texas, SXSW Sydney is happening from 15 to 22 October. From the lineup of keynote speeches to industry mixers, film screenings to music performances, the inaugural edition of SXSW Syndey is proving to be a worthy debut.
On 19 and 20 October, China’s Concrete & Grass and Asian label YEG Music will be co-hosting Touchdown Under. The 2-day showcase festival will feature performances by the likes of award-winning Indonesian multi-instrumentalist, Isyana Sarasvati, Jakarta-based power–pop trio, GAC, Indonesian indie-pop star Hindia, and singer-songwriter Nadin Amizah. Malaysian acts such as indie rock band Hujan, R&B singer Yuji, and rap-rock group Pop Shuvit are also on the lineup, alongside K-hip-hop act artists OWEN and MARV.
Taking place at the Tumbalong Park Stage, the free-entry event will kick off at 1 PM local time each day, with festivities wrapping up at 7:30 PM local time.
