South Korean girl group ITZY is back! The K-pop stars have dropped their latest EP entitled Girls Will Be Girls, alongside a stunning music video for their eponymous song.
The mini album is also in commemoration of the group's sixth anniversary as a unit. "This comeback is significant to us. We put much thought into what ITZY represents today — our unity, strength and the message we want to deliver as artists who’ve grown together for six years, shared group leader Yeji during a press conference.
The five-track effort includes the title song along with 'Kiss & Tell', 'Locked N Loaded', 'Promise' and 'Walk'. Each song charts their journey of friendship and sisterhood as a team, emphasizing each member’s personal growth and their shared connection with one another.
The lead single comes with a cinematic music video filmed in Georgia, which features the group dressed in military-inspired attire as they charge forward and fight to survive in a world populated with flying monsters. The action-packed spectacle feels like a summer blockbuster, but it carries a message that's deeply personal to the band.
In the same press conference, Ryujin explained, “We poured our energy into capturing our identity as a group ... The message is simple but powerful — when we’re together, nothing else matters. We’ll take your hand and move forward together.”
