IV OF SPADES are looking for something real on their latest release.
The Filipino alternative quartet have released 'Isang Pag-ibig' via Sony Music Entertainment, a new single that wrestles with the search for genuine connection and the painful realisation that giving someone your all does not necessarily mean they will love you back.
Musically, 'Isang Pag-ibig' keeps things stripped back. Jangly guitars, a three-chord progression, and a straightforward four-piece arrangement give the track a loose and immediate feel, putting its emotional core front and centre. The song was written nearly a decade ago, at the beginning of the band's story, but arrives during a new chapter for the group.
The release follows IV OF SPADES' reunion in late 2025. Unique Salonga, Zild Benitez, Blaster Silonga, and Badjao de Castro have since embarked on their Andalucia Tour, which brought them to Davao City, Santa Rosa, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu City, and Baguio. The band are also set to head to the USA and Canada this October.
Their comeback has also brought renewed attention to earlier material. 'Kabisado' has amassed nearly 80 million Spotify streams, while reaching the top 10 of the Spotify Philippines Daily Chart and peaking at number six on the Billboard Philippines Hot 100.
