Fresh out of military service and buzzing with creative energy, BTS' j-hope sat down with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 to reflect on a transformative chapter of his life — from uniform to studio, and everything in between.

In the candid interview, j-hope opened up about the group’s future, sharing his excitement for BTS' upcoming reunion after all members complete their service by June. “We wanted to come together again after each of us have done it their own way,” he said. “I think it’s going to be a massive energy... I’m curious to see how it'll look like.”

He also talked about collaborating with longtime idol Pharrell Williams, calling it “an incredible journey” and a dream come true for the kid who grew up on 'Drop It Like It’s Hot'. “The other members were so excited... ‘That must have been so much fun.’”

As for his time in the military, j-hope spoke with pride and humility. “After all, I am a proud citizen of South Korea,” he said. “Even though I was in the service, there was a part of me who never really let go of my love for music.”

With new solo experiences under their belts and renewed purpose ahead, BTS is gearing up for a powerful next era — and j-hope is more than ready.
