Japanese rock icons GLAY are back with a vengeance, unleashing their thunderous 63rd single ‘Dead Or Alive’, which also serves as the opening theme for Netflix’s upcoming anime Record of Ragnarok III.

The hard-hitting track arrives just in time to mark the start of GLAY’s 31st year, fresh off celebrating their massive 30th debut anniversary. Composed by guitarist TAKURO, ‘Dead Or Alive’ is a full-blown rock anthem packed with fiery riffs, pulsing bass from JIRO, dramatic arrangements by HISASHI, and frontman TERU’s commanding vocals.

The single was crafted with the anime’s intense storyline in mind. “We produced ‘Dead Or Alive’ keeping in mind Record of Ragnarok's magnificent story and the struggles of each character who cannot be judged by 'justice' alone,” said TAKURO. “The song is a fusion of the world of thrilling action and the inherent intensity of rock music.”

Directed by Pierce Gabriel, the accompanying music video was shot in New York City and inspired by legendary rooftop performances by The Beatles and U2.

The anime, produced by Warner Bros. Japan, begins streaming exclusively on Netflix on 10 December.
