Jackson Wang has made his highly anticpated return with his first track of 2025 entitled 'High Alone'. The song is the first single of the GOT7 star's upcoming album MAGIC MAN 2.
In MAGIC MAN 2, the global icon explores the complexities of his relationship with the alter ego that was first introduced in the album MAGIC MAN. However, this time, the character's darker and more toxic side will be revealed, showing a deeper emotional dynamic. The album is structured in four phases, each depicting the stages of the grieving process from denial, loss of identity, finding one's boundaries, to finally reaching acceptance.
Wang reveals "I created MAGIC MAN as a mask to understand my pain, an alter ego that represents the darkest emotions inside me. After almost a year away from the spotlight, I realized that I had never really found the meaning of magic for myself. I went through phases of being down, avoiding reality, being broken, then slowly rising and accepting everything. The only way to release those feelings was to write them down, and for the first time, I poured them into music. This album is a journey of honesty, listening to my heart, and accepting all sides of life. This is MAGIC MAN 2.”
