Jackson Wang is kicking off a new chapter with Roc Nation.
On 21 September, the Hong Kong artist announced that he has signed a management deal with Roc Nation, the entertainment company founded by JAY-Z. The partnership arrives alongside Jackson's new single 'Thank You'.
“We’re excited to have Jackson Wang join our family here at Roc Nation,” said JAY-Z. “He’s an incredible artist with a very special drive, and we can’t wait to see what he does next.”
'Thank You' serves as a message of gratitude to the fans who have supported Jackson throughout his career. Its accompanying black-and-white music video, directed by Ojun Kwon and shot on the iPhone 18 Pro, takes viewers through different stages of his life, from his early years in gymnastics and fencing to childhood friendships, his music career, and his latest chapter with Roc Nation.
Fans also take centre stage in the visual. Jackson invited supporters around the world to apply to appear in the project, receiving submissions from more than 80 countries. 30 fans from countries including China, the U.S., Australia, Mexico, the UK , Malaysia, Singapore and more were eventually selected to be in the music video.
The release follows Jackson's MAGIC MAN 2 World Tour dates across North America and Latin America, including sold-out shows at Los Angeles' Kia Forum and Brooklyn's Barclays Center. His third album, MAGIC MAN 2, debuted at No. 13 on the Billboard 200 and placed him in the Top 15 of the Billboard Artist 100. He is set to continue the tour with a run of mainland China dates beginning this October.
