The annual SHINE Festival returns.
The massive arts-centric event, held in the vicinity of Orchard Road stretching from ION Orchard to *SCAPE, will be happening once again this year from July 1st to 3rd. Besides the amazing cavalcade of activities and booths, SHINE Festival is best known for handpicking some of the most relevant names in Singaporean music.
They've managed to rope in Gentle Bones, Charlie Lim, ShiGGa Shay, Tabitha Nauser, Take Two among others, but the surprising addition lies with American hip-hop artist Jay Park, whose cross-cultural appeal has made him an international icon in urban pop music.
SHINE Festival also promises "experiential zones with exclusive discounts and activities on Festival grounds", promising more than 20 performances and festival activities like an art market organised by The Local People containing more than 60 pop-up stalls, a special screening of critically-acclaimed Singaporean drama film 7 Letters, a community wall mural, and a current mainstay at outdoor events — food trucks.
A special collaboration between SHINE and *SCAPE is also underway, titled the SHINE x *SCAPE Talent Development Programme.
