JO1 become 1st Japanese act to perform at 'iHeartRadio Jingle Ball' with viral 'Last Christmas' cover — watch

JO1 just made the holiday season a little brighter — and a lot more historic. The chart-topping J-pop boy group, formed through Produce 101 Japan, became the first Japanese artists to perform at the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball, lighting up the stage at both the Dallas and Los Angeles stops of the star-studded tour.

Adding a special seasonal touch to their U.S. appearances, JO1 surprised fans with a live a cappella cover of WHAM!’s ‘Last Christmas’, delivering flawless harmonies and warm vocals that quickly went viral across social media. The stripped-down performance showed a more intimate side of the group — a rare treat during their promo rounds abroad.
