The myBCA International Java Jazz Festival has officially entered a new era. Celebrating its 21st edition, Southeast Asia’s largest jazz festival is set to return with a refreshed concept, a brand-new venue, and a first wave of international and regional artists.

Organised by Java Festival Production, the myBCA International Java Jazz Festival 2026 will take place from 29 to 31 May at NICE, PIK 2, Tangerang, marking a major shift from previous editions. The move promises a more expansive, world-class festival experience, with greater room for artistic exploration and improved accessibility for fans from Indonesia and beyond.

This year’s announcement also introduces the festival’s Phase One lineup, led by eight-time Grammy Award winner Jon Batiste, who will deliver a special performance on Friday, 29 May, blending jazz traditions with modern flair. South Korean band wave to earth will headline another special show on Saturday, 30 May, bringing their signature mix of lo-fi indie pop, jazz, and R&B to the Jakarta-area stage.

The initial lineup also features an eclectic mix of international acts including Dave Koz & Summer Horns, Lisa Simone, Thee Sacred Souls, Close Counters, Citrus Sun, Justin Lee Schultz, Niko Niko Tan Tan, Billyrrom, Yufu, and JustKing Jones. Legendary names Earth, Wind, & Fire by Al McKay and Incognito further reinforce the festival’s reputation as a cross-generational celebration of music.

Representing Indonesia, Slank, RAN, Bilal Indrajaya, and Ziva Magnolya are among the local artists confirmed for the first phase, highlighting Java Jazz Festival’s continued commitment to spotlighting homegrown talent alongside global stars.

According to Java Festival Production President Director Dewi Gontha, this new chapter reflects the festival’s ambition to remain innovative and globally relevant, while continuing to serve as a meeting point for cultures, creativity, and generations.
