Explore the depth of heartbreak with Jose Miguel as he returns with his first Filipino-language single ‘Dalawa’ — embarking on a new chapter with Underdog Music Philippines.
Jose Miguel bares his soul with this record as it places focus on the vulnerability and emotions that the story of the track explores. It captures the emotional highs and lows of a troubled relationship, offering soulful depth while venturing beyond the classic jazz that his previous projects, such as 5 Star Overthinker, aligned with.

He dives into the process behind writing this, opening up and sharing, "I actually wrote this during the whole 5 Star album, and I’ve been itching to release this for quite some time,” he reveals. “I just never thought it would fit in the previous catalog. So, now that I was able to step back, it felt like it was time the song got to see the light of day."
This phase has deepened his creative insight and allowed him to collaborate with others who elevate his approach to releasing music.“I wouldn’t have been able to do it without these people. I'm excited for what’s to come because you get to take a peek into my vulnerable side, which I’ve always had a difficult time expressing. Songs of heartbreak, songs of love, ‘dart sa heart’ stuff. I just want to try out new things while being authentic and not doing things that aren't me. So, if you hear me release something, that's definitely me,” Jose adds.
With 'Dalawa', Jose Miguel ushers in a new era of his music, embracing experimentation, honest storytelling, and raw emotion — reflecting his growth as an artist, breaking free of inhibitions to create songs that resonate deeply with listeners.
