Groban's incredible vocal talent and uplifting musical flair has helped solidify his identity as one of the most iconic contemporary classical musicians of this generation. His grandiose and extremely legendary voice brings a sense of richness and iconicism to his illustrious discography that is littered with award winning albums such as — Josh Groban, Closer, Noël, Awake, Illuminations, All That Echoes, Stages, Bridges, and his most recent release, Harmony.
Outside of the numerous accolades he has garnered throughout his music career, Groban spreads his wings as a true renaissance man excelling in not only singing and songwriting but in avenues of musical theatre as well. Since his Broadway debut in 2016 as he joined the bill on the musical Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812. Even several years later he displays his undying love for theatre as he starred in the 2023 adaptation of Sweeney Todd that garnered his numerous accolades and star-studded awards.
As the New York Times described his performance saying, “The “gorgeously sung” part is no surprise with Groban, whose quasi-operatic pop baritone perfectly encompasses the range of the role, and whose technique makes sure every word is bell clear. That some of the songs are thus even prettier than usual is all to the better.”
Beyond acting on stage, Groban also excels in the realms of film and television having played roles in movies and shows such as Glee, The Simpsons, The Office, CSI: NY, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and The Crazy Ones as well as in the feature films Coffee Town, Muppets Most Wanted, and Crazy, Stupid, Love. In addition, he starred in the NETFLIX series The Good Cop in 2018.
Similar to prior years, 2025 spelled bigger bolder opportunities for Groban as he unveiled Gems — an 18 track collection of some of the most beloved tracks that he has released throughout his dazzling career. Following the release of that record, he took to Las Vegas' The Colosseum at Caesars Palace to perform some of those songs, giving fans a night to remember.
Most recently, he released a celebration of his most elusive work, Hidden Gems compiles ten rare fan favorites and one new song, gathering years of deluxe bonuses and special editions into a unified album. As he is set to take the stage in 2026, performing these Gems, he sets up for another year of great music and splendid artistry.
