Jinni has parted ways with NMIXX and JYP Entertainment.

On 9 December, JYP Entertainment announced that the singer will be leaving NMIXX and the music label. The news was revealed on NMIXX's official Twitter and JYP Fan's page.

According to translations by Soompi, Jinni will be leaving the group "due to personal circumstances, and her exclusive contract has been terminated." and "NMIXX will be carrying out all of their future scheduled activities as a six-member group."

The official statement further adds "We ask that you give lots of encouragement to Jinni, who will be walking a new path, and we also ask that NSWER [NMIXX’s fans] give their warm support to the six members who will continue to grow and race towards their dreams."

Jinni made her official debut with NMIXX on 22 February 2022 with AD MARE as part of JYP Entertainment's newest girl group. Earlier in November, they were awarded Favourite New Artist at the 2022 MAMA Awards. Their latest single 'Funky Glitter Christmas' was released on 23 November.
