The timeless emotion of Korean drama comes alive once more as the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines (KCC), and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) present OST Symphony II: K-Drama in Concert on 25 October at Samsung Hall, SM Aura, Taguig City — with performances at 2 PM and 6.30 PM.
Following its successful debut last year, the concert returns with even greater spectacle, featuring the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra (PPO) under the baton of Maestro Herminigildo Ranera. Fresh from their UK tour, the PPO will perform powerful renditions of some of the most beloved K-drama soundtracks, from the energetic KPop Demon Hunters to emotional favourites such as Crash Landing on You and When Life Gives You Tangerines.
Adding more star power to the evening, the concert will include performances by Korean singer-songwriter Hong Isaac, rising artist YEGNY, and Filipino talents Kyline Alcantara and Angel Guardian. Together, they’ll bring a celebration of music that bridges cultures and emotions.
Ahead of the concert, KCC and GMA will host a K-OST and K-Show Production Workshop, gathering top Korean music and show producers for a creative exchange with Filipino professionals — an effort to deepen ties between the two countries’ creative industries.
The event also shines a light on Gyeongju, the host city of the upcoming 2025 APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Korea. Guests can explore a Gyeongju-themed promotional booth and a K-drama merchandise display at the concert lobby, offering fans a deeper connection to the cultural stories behind their favourite shows.
Presented in partnership with the Korea Tourism Organization – Manila Office (KTO), Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), SM Supermalls, VIU Philippines, and GMA, OST Symphony II: K-Drama in Concert promises an evening where music, memory, and storytelling meet.
