Get ready for the ultimate crossover with the upcoming Apple TV+ show KPopped. Apple TV+ previously revealed that the show will be hosted by the hitmaker behind 'Gangnam Style', Psy, alongside the amazing three-time Grammy Award-winning queen Megan Thee Stallion.
KPopped just released the lineup of artists who will be featured on the show and it's definitely going to be a spectacular treat for fans to watch their two worlds collide with their favorite K-pop idols and bands joining forces with their beloved western artists to reimagine their standout tracks with a cross-genre infusion.
Some coveted K-pop bands and idols who have joined the cast are futuristic seven-member girl group Billlie, energetic quintet ITZY, and breakout band Kep1er best known for their greatest hit 'WA DA DA' that surpassed over 180 million streams.
Alongside them will be rising Japanese boy band JO1, famed million-seller group ATEEZ, youthful and energetic six-piece girl band STAYC, chart-topping groups Kiss of Life and up-and-coming multicultural quartet BLACKSWAN.
In addition to this top-tier lineup of idols and bands, are big names in the western music scene with some throwback icons in the mix such as Mel B and Emma Bunton who were Scary Spice and Baby Spice in the most memorable girl group Spice Girls. Other standout Y2K artists joining the bill are TLC known for their sassy hit 'No Scrubs' and rap legend Eve.
Also on the roster will be the Princess of Pop herself, Australian singer and songwriter Kylie Minogue, together with the Godmother of Soul Patti Labelle. Revolutionary artist Boy George known for his hit 'Everything I Own' will also be part of the star-studded cast together with Taylor Dayne—not forgetting the most chill artist of the 90s Vanilla Ice, known best for his smash hit 'Ice Ice Baby'. Last but not least, one of the most iconic musical groups of the 80s, Boyz II Men.
Alongside those legendary acts are artists that shaped the 2010s music scene such as the legend of creating party anthems, Kesha, with Colombian singer J Balvin, Jess Glynne known for her powerful voice, and the mastermind behind 'Sweet But Psycho', Ava Max.
Each episode reveals a new grouping of western artists and Korean idols and bands working together to breathe new life into their most iconic tracks by adding a K-pop flair to their greatest hits including 'Savage,' 'Wannabe,' 'Lady Marmalade,' 'Can’t Get You Out of My Head,' 'Motownphilly,' and so many more—combining forces to create performances like you've never seen.
