Emerging Japanese artist KAIKA is set to release her debut album, Umarerumaekara Kimiwo Shitteru, on 26 March. This album marks the first full-length project from KAIKA, who is recognized as the reality-blurring identity of pioneering virtual singer KAF. Notably, KAIKA has taken full creative control, writing all the songs herself, which delve into the diverse emotions experienced by young women in their twenties in modern Japan.

The announcement was made during a special livestream performance on YouTube earlier in January. Fans who missed the live event can watch the archived concert until the end of 2 February.

Over the past year, the KAIKA project has been steadily releasing original songs, highlighting her development as a songwriter. In 2024, she released four singles that not only showcased her artistic growth but also explored a range of moods and emotions.

KAIKA's emergence offers a fresh perspective on the virtual music scene, providing fans with a more personal and introspective experience. As the release date approaches, anticipation builds for how Umarerumaekara Kimiwo Shitteru will further blur the lines between the virtual and real, while offering a deep dive into the emotional landscape of contemporary young women in Japan.
