KATSEYE have returned with a fierce new single. The global girl group unveiled 'Animal', a flirtatious pop anthem that explores the contrast between the polished personas people present to the world and the uninhibited versions of themselves behind closed doors.
Co-written by Ed Sheeran and produced by Omer Fedi and Blake Slatkin, the track pairs magnetic pop production with playful lyricism, transforming themes of secrecy, attraction, and impulse into an empowering statement. 'Animal' serves as the latest preview of WILD, the group's third EP, which is set for release on 14 August via HYBE x Geffen Records.
The accompanying music video leans into the song's duality, unfolding across observation rooms, mirrored realities, and shifting identities. Directed by Cody Critcheloe — who also helmed the group's 'Gnarly' and 'Touch' visuals — the cinematic clip features dynamic choreography, surreal imagery, and a cameo from Academy Award-nominated actress Demi Moore.
'Animal' follows KATSEYE's first single of the WILD era, 'PINKY UP', which the group debuted live during their Coachella performance. Fans can also look forward to KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS, a limited theatrical release beginning 12 August, ahead of the group's sold-out KATSEYE: THE WILDWORLD arena tour, which kicks off on 1 September.
