We now have our Carole King and Gerry Goffin for the upcoming run of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.

In an announcement by Atlantis Theatrical, the lead role of Carole King will be played by Filipino singer Kayla Rivera opposite actor Nick Varricchio, who will be playing King's husband and writing partner Gerry Goffin.

"Oooooh... I feel the earth move under my feet!!!! So honoured to have the opportunity to fill the incredible @carole_king’s shoes in the @atlantistheatrical staging of @beautifulonbway!!!" Rivera, who previously portrayed Princess Jasmine in the Asian premiere of Disney's Aladdin in 2012, writes in an Instagram post. "This is such a dream come true, God is so good. I CANT WAIT!!!! Also, for more cast announcements!! Ahhhhh so so so excited to be back on stage in Manila!!!!!!"

Beautiful: The Carole King Musical will open at the Meralco Theatre in Pasig City on June 14 (Friday).
