Kenshi Yonezu is back in the Chainsaw Man realm with a powerful new release.
'IRIS OUT' is the official theme song for the upcoming anime film Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc. The track marks Yonezu’s highly anticipated return to the beloved franchise, following his global hit 'KICK BACK' — the original TV anime theme that earned the historic distinction of becoming the first Japanese-language song to be RIAA Gold-certified in the U.S.
"It’s a great privilege to continue my musical involvement from the TV anime series to the film,” said Yonezu. “I kept the Reze scenes from the original manga open around the clock, glaring at the pages as I worked on the song. I hope you enjoy it.”
Also on the horizon: Yonezu is teaming up with Hikaru Utada for a new collaborative track titled 'Jane Doe', which will serve as the movie’s ending theme. The song, written and composed by Yonezu with vocals by Utada, is set for release next Monday, 22 September.
Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc opens in U.S. cinemas on 24 October, with Sony Pictures Entertainment handling global distribution.
