“Let’s go party!”: KiiiKiii on their Head In The Clouds LA debut & making global fans feel connected

For fast-rising K-pop girl group KiiiKiii, Head In The Clouds Los Angeles is an opportunity to introduce their colourful, high-energy world to a wider audience. As artists from across Asia and its diaspora gather on one lineup, the five-member outfit are especially excited to share the festival experience with performers they have long admired.

Their set will spotlight the playful energy that has quickly become central to KiiiKiii’s identity. Fans can expect songs including '404 (New Era)' and 'Candy Pink Magic Hole Flip Phone', alongside a performance built around togetherness, excitement, and the group’s distinctive approach to pop.

Head In The Clouds brings together artists from across Asia and the diaspora in one place. Looking at this year’s lineup, who are you most excited to catch live, and why?

We’re especially excited to see KATSEYE and XG. We’ve always admired KATSEYE because they bring something fresh and unique to every performance. We’re also really looking forward to XG’s performance because we used to cover their songs as trainees, and we’ve always loved their concepts, style, and stage presence. It makes us feel a special connection with them.

If Head In The Clouds had a “dream surprise stage”, who would you want to see walk out?

We’d love to see JENNIE or Olivia Rodrigo make a surprise appearance. All of us have always thought JENNIE is incredibly inspiring and charismatic on stage. We’d also love to see Olivia Rodrigo because we’ve always admired how she connects with audiences through her music and delivers such powerful live performances. It would be an unforgettable experience to watch her perform in person.

Every festival has its own personality. If you had to describe the vibe you’re hoping to create at Head In The Clouds in just three words, what would they be?

Unique. Together. Pop.

We hope to create a performance that’s full of energy and excitement while bringing everyone together to enjoy the moment with us.

Festivals often bring in fans who may be seeing you live for the very first time. What is one song or moment in your set that you hope they will walk away remembering?

We hope people walk away remembering our performances of 'Candy Pink Magic Hole Flip Phone' and '404 (New Era)'. More than anything, we hope our energy on stage and the fun we share with the audience leave a lasting impression, even for people seeing us for the very first time.

If you had one sentence to convince someone who is still on the fence about coming to your Head In The Clouds set, what would you say?

KiiiKiii has built a distinctive identity in a short amount of time. As your audience continues to grow beyond Korea, has anything surprised you about the way international fans have connected with the group?

We’re always amazed to see fans from different countries and time zones waiting together for our content to be released. Even though we speak different languages, it’s really special to see how music brings everyone together. Seeing people around the world connect through KiiiKiii’s songs continues to surprise us, and we’re so grateful for all the love and support.
