Kings of Convenience have been announced as the latest act joining the Maho Rasop Series 2026, with the beloved Norwegian duo set to perform in Bangkok on 1 December at SiamPic Hall.
Presented by HAVE YOU HEARD? as part of the concert series curated alongside Seen Scene Space and Fungjai, the upcoming show follows the announcement of Caribou as the first artist on this year's Maho Rasop Series lineup. While Caribou brought electronic euphoria to the programme, Kings of Convenience arrive with a different kind of magic — one built on delicate acoustic arrangements, understated melodies, and the unmistakable vocal chemistry of Erlend Øye and Eirik Glambek Bøe.

Since emerging from Norway at the turn of the millennium, the duo have cultivated a devoted global following through albums such as Quiet Is the New Loud, Riot on an Empty Street, and Declaration of Dependence. Songs including 'Winning a Battle, Losing the War', 'Misread', 'Cayman Islands', 'Know How', and 'Mrs. Cold' have become enduring favourites among indie music fans, with their music finding a particularly warm reception across Asia.
Their influence has extended well beyond the folk-pop sphere. Collaborations with Feist and remixes by artists such as Four Tet helped introduce their songwriting to wider audiences, while their long-awaited comeback album Peace or Love reaffirmed the quiet emotional resonance that has defined their catalogue for over two decades.
The Bangkok performance will see the duo revisit beloved classics while also showcasing material from Peace or Love. Taking place in the seated setting of SiamPic Hall, the concert promises an intimate experience that complements the warmth and intricacy of their acoustic sound.
