Taipei is gearing up for four days of music, industry exchange, and cross-border discovery as TAIPEI MUSIC EXPO (TMEX) returns to Taipei Music Center from 27 to 30 August.
Held under the theme "Tune in to Taiwan. Sync with Asia.", this year's edition will bring together more than 100 music industry professionals from 15 markets alongside over 60 exhibiting brands from across the region. TMEX will also run alongside its music festival, JAM JAM ASIA, which takes over the weekend of 29 and 30 August with more than 80 acts from 14 markets performing across seven stages.

The expo continues its focus on connecting Taiwan's music scene with the wider Asia-Pacific and global music industries through five pillars: brand exhibitions, business matching, forums, emerging talent showcases, and fan engagement. The first two days will be reserved for industry delegates before the programme opens to the public over the weekend.
TMEX's wider platform is designed to bring artists, audiences, and markets together through its exhibition, forum, festival, and networking programmes, with technology and sustainability identified as key areas of focus.
The team behind KPop Demon Hunters comes to Taipei
Among the highlights of this year's TMEX Forum is a session featuring members of the team behind Netflix's KPop Demon Hunters.
Director Maggie Kang, producer Michelle Wong, and THEBLACKLABEL songwriter Danny Chung, who is also the voice of Baby Saja, will discuss what the film could mean for Asia-Pacific artists looking to enter global markets.

Grammy-winning mastering engineer Howie Weinberg will also make his Taiwan debut with a session exploring the sonic aesthetics behind his work across 9,000 records.
Elsewhere, festival programmers from the US, UK, Korea, Japan, and Taiwan will come together to discuss how festivals develop their identities, audiences, and international partnerships. Other sessions will tackle generative AI in music production with Suno and KKBOX, international artist marketing, and sustainability in live events.
Beyond the forum, TMEX will connect artists and music businesses with international curators and buyers, bringing together festivals, labels, management companies, digital platforms, and music-related brands.
This year's participating organisations include Goldenvoice, Live Nation, Fuji Rock Festival, Summer Sonic, YG PLUS, Zandari Festa, MPMG, Zepp, Beggars Group, and Secretly Group. Music export agencies will also join the exhibition floor, including Thailand's Creative Economy Agency, Vietnam Cultural Industry Development Association, Sounds Australia, and Taiwan's TAICCA.
