Renowned producer Mark Feist, known best for his work with global icons like Destiny’s Child, Jennifer Lopez, Mary J. Blige, Celine Dion, John Legend, The Spice Girls, Outkast and many more, is back in the Philippines with a thrilling roster of new upcoming projects he has up his sleeve.
Leading the charge are two new tracks that Mark has produced. Firstly, his collaborative track 'Tunay' with Philippines' R&B king Jay R that was released on 25 July. The song mixes New Jack Swing-inspired beats and Jay's wide vocal range together to create a smooth summer anthem.
His second project is still being kept under wraps but will be a track that features a partnership between Jay R and up-and-coming artist in the pop scene, Shanice.
When asked about his decision to collaborate with Jay R, the multi-platinum producer reflected, "Jay R is an artist who truly inspired me.”
He added, “His talent, his voice, and his work ethic are world-class. Our collaboration on 'Tunay' came from deep creative conversations, and what we created together is something I genuinely believe can sit alongside today’s biggest global releases. At this point in my career, I only work on music that can compete at the highest level, and Jay R absolutely meets that standard.”
In addition to Mark's titles as a lauded composer and producer that he earned by creating smash hits including the worldwide number one song 'Emotion' by Destiny’s Child, he has added the title of label owner to his name by starting his new music label and music publishing house HITMAKERS ENTERTAINMENT (HME).
One of HME's biggest artists is Australian pop artist Tash, who has surpassed over 80 million streams through her music on various streaming platforms.
“Real artist development in the streaming era is our core mission at HITMAKERS ENTERTAINMENT, and TASH is the perfect example of that,” shares Mark Feist. “We signed her at 15 with zero fanbase—now she’s built a formidable catalog, amassed millions of streams, and is selling out shows with fans flying in from around the world. TASH is a once-in-a-generation artist, and she’s just getting started.”
Last on Mark's list of new endeavors, HME has joined forces with Symphonic Distribution—one of the top music tech platforms supporting independent labels, artists, and their teams. Mark believes that this alliance with Symphonic could be a game-changer to hand the spotlight to the most promising new talents in Asia and the Pacific, helping them bring their music to the world and grow their brands.
He explains his thought process behind joining forces with Symphonic Distribution as he expresses, “Symphonic Asia’s Guji Lorenzana is a rare kind of music executive: he brings together sharp instincts, profound industry experience, and a forward-thinking approach to tech and streaming.”
He hopes that this partnership between Symphonic Distribution and HME can form a powerhouse dynamic to help rising artists break new ground, set new records, and bring a promising glow to the next generation of music.
With these multiple new journeys that Mark embarks on, he continues to grow beyond just a composer, enriching his career and making him a true force to be reckoned with in the music industry.
