LAUNCHPAD officially stepped into the spotlight on 3 August with its inaugural media event at PJ Performing Arts Centre in Kuala Lumpur, introducing a new artist growth platform designed to help emerging acts expand their reach across Southeast Asia.

Developed by Fast Track Entertainment in partnership with Sony Music Malaysia, LAUNCHPAD brings together intimate live showcases, regional media exposure, original digital content and brand partnerships to support artists as they grow beyond their home markets.

The official unveiling welcomed members of the media, industry partners and invited guests for the platform's first public introduction, while highlighting its vision of creating stronger connections between artists, audiences and the wider entertainment ecosystem across the region.

The event featured appearances from KIIRAS, the six-member global K-pop girl group from South Korea; UPRIZE, Vietnam's rising seven-member boy group; and Malaysian entertainment icon Yusry Abdul Halim, who also participated in the programme alongside representatives from Fast Track Entertainment and Sony Music Malaysia. Live showcase performances and exclusive media interview sessions gave attendees an early look at the platform's artist-first approach.

Speaking during the launch, Fast Track Entertainment CEO Harris Lim shared that LAUNCHPAD represents an important milestone in the company's vision of building a more connected entertainment ecosystem across Southeast Asia. He said the platform was created around intimate live showcase experiences that connect artists directly with audiences, media, brands and industry partners, while creating new commercial opportunities that support long-term regional growth.

Unlike traditional artist development initiatives, LAUNCHPAD is designed to extend beyond the stage. Each showcase will be supported by regional media engagement, original digital content, industry networking and brand collaborations, helping artists strengthen their visibility and build sustainable careers across Southeast Asia.
