Still early in their journey, LIL LEAGUE are already moving with a sense of clarity that sets them apart. Formed through LDH’s largest-ever audition iCON Z ~Dreams for Children~, the six-member group has steadily built momentum through sharp choreography, emotionally grounded vocals, and a fearless approach to performance that reflects their generation’s energy.
That confidence comes through clearly on NEOMATIC, the group’s second album and a defining statement of intent. Built around the idea of creating something entirely new, the project sees LIL LEAGUE pushing their sound and visuals further than ever before, while staying rooted in the youthful perspective that has shaped their identity from the start.
In this interview, the members reflect on lessons learned from their early days, the meaning behind NEOMATIC, and the joy of standing on stage together as six — driven by what they describe as the unmistakable “power of teenagers.”
What’s something important you always keep in mind when you sing or perform?
SENA: Imagining the person you’re singing for, and staying calm.
HAIMA: That’s really important.
SENA: Imagining the person you’re singing for helps expand your imagination, and staying calm matters too. For example, in singing, the endings of phrases are especially important.
SORA: That’s true.
SENA: So instead of singing a phrase one way, you stretch the ending a bit more. The ending really makes a difference.
Looking back, how do you feel about your early experiences as a group?
KODAI: I feel like everything we experienced felt so fresh, and we were younger then. It was so amazing, and everything felt like a big experience for us.
What kind of image or word comes to mind when you think about yourselves right now?
SORA: Alright, let’s see what comes out.
MATORA: What is it? What is it?
TATSUHIRO: What is it?
HAIMA: I think… it’s acrobatics!
What does the album title NEOMATIC mean to you?
SORA: It carries the meaning of creating a new phenomenon. Since we’re delivering visuals and music unlike anything we’ve done before, we really hope people will listen to the songs on the NEOMATIC album a lot.
When you’re all together, what are you feeling most in those moments?
TATSUHIRO: I’m just feeling happy being here, standing together as six members, enjoying the view and spending a really happy moment.
MATORA: So you’re feeling happy.
If you had to describe what audiences will feel when they watch your performance, what would you say?
KODAI: “The power of teenagers!” When you come and watch our performance, I think you’ll feel happiness and joy, and it gives you strength. Please watch our performance — we promise to give you more happiness.
Any final message for listeners discovering LIL LEAGUE now?
SENA: In 2026, we, LIL LEAGUE, hope to create lots of memories by sharing plenty of music and visiting many different places. More than anything, we want to spark the “LIL LEAGUE phenomenon.” Whether you’re just discovering us or have been supporting us already, please continue to support LIL LEAGUE.
