LISTEN: Morning Martians dispense easycore alienation on their debut EP, Hope You Could Relate

Singaporean band Morning Martians first came onto our radars when they released their infectious debut single '16' in May of last year. Brash, energetic and rousing, the the single instantly embodied everything that makes pop-punk fun.

We were impressed and left wanting for more, waiting patiently for their freshman EP to drop.

And thankfully, it's finally here! Entitled Hope You Can Relate, this freshly-minted five-track effort reflects much of that same exuberant, youthful spirit that '16' captured.

Alternately catchy and heavy, the band's mixture of hardcore and pop-punk definitely falls between that sweet spot that fans like to call "easycore".

Tracks like 'That's How It Works' and 'Maybe You Should Leave Now' are rollicking anthems - full of bittersweet lyricism and cathartic sing-along moments.

Hope You Can Relate is engaging from top to bottom and is definitely worth its $6 Bandcamp price.
