Burgeoning electronic pop outfit ELLEH are one of the most exciting musical prospects coming out of Japan. at the moment.
Based in Japan, the duo are made up of Satoru Teshima (founder of Japan-based music blog Lights + Music) and Bob Wiley (member of Ice Cream Shout and the brins behind Cloudy Busey).
Together, they've been making nocturnal and tipsy tunes - dubbed as "sad boy disco" - for a few years now. But 2017 promises to be their breakthrough, especially with their debut document Anthems EP Part I set to be released in the coming weeks.
In the lead uo to that, their playful lead single, 'American Lover', has already been making the rounds, garnering praise from blogs and publications all around the world.
As the duo explains, "ELLEH create songs for the early-morning hours, that stretch of time before trains start up for the day and when it is still possible to find escape from personal heartache in a club. Anthems EP Part I is a gateway into the backstreets and dance floors their music is meant to soundtrack."
