Maki is embracing the next chapter of his "pink era" with a little help from James Reid. The two OPM stars have teamed up for the first time on their new single, 'luck', a dreamy alternative indie-pop track that likens falling in love to placing a bet—uncertain, risky, but ultimately worth taking.
Co-written by Maki alongside international songwriters and producers Gaby Ramirez, Pontus Kalm, Greg Shilling, and Shintaro Yasuda, 'luck' brings together a team whose credits span global acts including Ariana Grande, BTS, LE SSERAFIM, aespa, and BINI.
The release also continues the vibrant sonic world Maki introduced with his previous single, 'habangbuhay pansamantala', further expanding what he calls his "pink era." The collaboration arrives after a busy stretch for Maki, who recently brought his KOLORCOASTER tour to Indonesia and Singapore, performing fan favourites such as 'Dilaw', 'Namumula', and 'kahel na langit'.
Meanwhile, James Reid continues to evolve his signature blend of alternative pop, R&B, and modern OPM, following the release of 'Richest Man Alive' while also starring in the ABS-CBN series Someone, Someday.
