Malaysian artists Lil Asian Thiccie and dj magn3sium are here to rewrite the pop playbook with their brand-new collaborative EP, DVD-R, out now.
DVD-R is a four-track trancepop trip that thrives in contrast — sugary yet spiky, DIY but euphoric. Clocking in at just 12 minutes and 12 seconds, the EP packs punchy four-on-the-floor beats, retro-sparkle synths, and glitchy charm into an algorithm-free ride that resists the “gold disc” pop formula.
At the heart of the project is its lead single, ‘RUSSKI’, a Europop-infused starry-eyed banger that channels wide-eyed romance with dazzling vocals and irresistible la-la-love hooks — think Part of Your World meets post-Internet fantasy.
