Mariani Oelong is back with her soulful three-track EP Berimajinasi, taking fans on a meaningful rollercoaster ride covering topics and real-life emotions from the highs of comfort and warmth to the lows of confusion and restlessness.
The album, featuring tracks written by Mariani herself and produced by Krishna Kanhaiya Dasa, opens with 'Seluruh Rasa Kita Pelihara', which envelopes listeners in a cloak of sweetness before plunging into the introspective and conflicted track 'Jangan Main Main', and finally closing off the record with 'Jika Kehidupan Selanjutnya Memang Ada', which invites listeners to reflect on their life journeys thus far—presenting the perfect closing to the internal exploration that the album embarks on.
Mariani dives deeper into the climax track of the album as she muses, "Honestly, 'Jika Kehidupan Selanjutnya Memang Ada' is quite complex in its emotion because in this song, we are hoping for the chance to experience a love we never had the opportunity to feel during our life in this world. We question fate, yet at the same time, we don’t want to fight it."
