Martin Garrix is putting his own voice at the centre of MARTY, his debut pop album, due on 5 March 2027 via STMPD Records/Darkroom Records.

Featuring U2, Ed Sheeran, Madonna, and Aitana, with further collaborators still to be announced, the 14-track record draws from more than 400 songs developed over a decade. Garrix revealed the project during an exclusive Spotify Pop-Up show kicking off Amsterdam Dance Event, where top listeners heard several unreleased tracks.

The album’s title reaches back to his earliest ambitions: before becoming Martin Garrix, he performed as DJ Marty, complete with the slogan “Party with DJ Marty”. That childhood connection carries into opening track ‘Catharina’, named after his mother, who encouraged him to learn instruments and nurtured his interest in music.

From there, MARTY follows a loose lifecycle, moving through his upbringing, rise as a DJ, and thoughts about the afterlife. Transitions and key changes connect its chapters, with the idea of “eternal love” running throughout: the belief that what people give to one another continues to matter after they are gone.

“Even though I’ve been doing this for most of my life, I still feel like I’m just at the beginning,” Garrix said. “That’s really what this album is about – growth, moving through different chapters of life, and understanding that the love we give and the energy we put out into the world don’t just disappear when we’re gone.”

While Garrix has long written songs on guitar and recorded demo vocals for other artists, MARTY brings his singing into the foreground. Bono, who also contributes as a co-writer, became a mentor during the process, helping him with vocal technique and encouraging a more vulnerable approach to performing.

His latest single, ‘This Dream Of You’, offers a glimpse of that direction. Premiered as the introduction to his Tomorrowland headline set, it pairs an orchestral opening with his own vocals and electronic production.

The album announcement also follows a string of collaborations with its featured artists. ‘Fireflies’ marked the first time all four U2 members joined Garrix on a track, while ‘Repeat It’, released with Sheeran in May, brought a collaboration more than a decade in the making to fruition. He also worked with Madonna on ‘Bizarre’ and premiered a new collaboration with Aitana during two sold-out shows at Mexico City’s Palacio de los Deportes.

Those concerts formed part of his ongoing Martin Garrix Americas Tour, which continues with dates across Central and South America through December. He will also headline Ultra Music Festival in Miami, taking place from 26 to 28 March 2027, just weeks after MARTY arrives.
