As it is with every instalment, the new trailer for Fast & Furious 8 — also titled The Fate of the Furious in the US — landed itself waves of publicity and hype when it dropped on Monday, December 12th. But it also got attention for a different reason.

Bassnectar's 'Speakerbox' appears in the trailer, which features emerging rapper Lafa Taylor, but it also features prominent vocal samples of Singaporean rapper Masia One. 

Bassnectar lifted the vocals off her earth-rattling track 'Warrior's Tongue', which he has also used in his live sets on occasion.
