Mediacorp is ready to kick off the new year with a blast. If you’re still on the lookout for end-of-year plans, you might want to block out your calendar for this. 

With live performances and a whole lot of fireworks, the annual countdown party Let’s Celebrate 2024 makes a return with a star-studded line-up of local and international artists and comedians. Held in conjunction with Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2024 at The Promontory on 31 December, the event is set to deliver a “diverse and electrifying lineup” surrounding the theme of “Hit Parade”.

Hosted by Germaine Tan and Ebi Shankara from Mediacorp 987, the event will feature performances from the likes of Tasha Low, Shawn Thia, Iman Fandi, shazza, Jasmine Sokko, Daryl-Ann, Fuad Rahman, JJ Neo, Khally, Navein Gunasekaran, omarKENOBI, and Shawn Thia. Joining the local acts will be the Toronto-based duo Crash Adams, widely known for their tracks ‘Give Me A Kiss’ and ‘California Girl’. 

Live music aside, local comedians Kumar, Sharul Channa, and Suhaimi Yusof will present a comedic dance-off skit.

Apart from that, partygoers can look forward to something new in this year’s edition. In collaboration with Smobler and The Sandbox, Mediacorp has joined the metaverse with the Mediacorp Let’s Celebrate 2024 Interactive Game. Participants can create an avatar, engage with behind-the-scenes crew, explore Mediacorp’s 987 studio, and battle in a dance-off with shazza in the virtual world. If you’re looking for a way to spice up your social media sharing, Mediacorp has created a 2024 predictor filter that can be included in their posts on Instagram and TikTok.

Admission to Let’s Celebrate 2024 is free. The gates will open from 7 PM on 31 December at The Promontory. The event will also stream on mewatch and Mediacorp Entertainment’s YouTube channel from 10 PM, and via Channel 5 from 11 PM to 12:15 AM. Thereafter, the show will be available to view for free on mewatch and Mediacorp Entertainment’s YouTube channel.
