When WOLF HOWL HARMONY took the stage at Music Matters Live in Singapore, the cheers were so loud that even the members were caught off guard. “It was crazy, and I got so excited,” recalls Suzuki, the group’s oldest member. “We always felt the loud cheers, and I want to perform in Singapore again.”
The four-member vocal and rap unit from EXILE TRIBE — Ryoji, Hiroto, Ghee, and Suzuki — have quickly become one of J-pop’s most exciting rising acts. Formed in 2023 through the high-stakes competition iCON Z ~Dreams For Children~, the group has since built a reputation for dynamic performances, genre-blending music, and a playful sense of brotherhood.

A pack with many voices
Each member brings a unique personality to the group. Ryoji, the leader, balances a cool presence on stage with a softer side off it. Hiroto, nicknamed Cook, calls himself the mood maker. Ghee, originally from Brazil, describes himself as a “lone wolf” outside of the spotlight. And Suzuki, the eldest, mixes sharp vocals with a love of anime and manga.
Their differences come together in harmony — literally. “We are constantly pushing ourselves to try new things, and that’s who we are,” says Ghee.
For Hiroto, it was their track ‘Frozen Butterfly’ that first defined WOLF HOWL HARMONY. “It established who we are,” he explains.
More than just music
Their music videos also reveal the playful, sometimes surprising side of the group. Hiroto laughs as he remembers filming one scene: “In the music video, I smack Suzuki to wake him up.”
Suzuki adds, “He smacked me for real! Strong!”
Beyond the stage, the members let slip a few secrets. “Usually, Ryoji looks really macho on stage. But when he drinks, he’s super cute. Super kawaii,” Suzuki shares with a grin.
The banter continues as they compare personalities over MBTI types and even drinks of choice. “Ghee is hyper on stage, but off stage, he’s a lone wolf,” Hiroto says. Ghee chimes in: “I like wine.”
Looking ahead
Fresh from their debut album WOLF and new single ‘Bossa Bosa’, the group is already looking to the future. “We still have many things we can’t share,” Ghee teases. “Stay tuned and enjoy what’s coming. Top secret.”
For a group whose name symbolizes lone wolves finding their pack, WOLF HOWL HARMONY are proving that their howl carries far beyond Japan. And judging by the cheers in Singapore, the pack is only getting louder.
