Melon streams will now be considered for Billboard's music charts. 

In an announcement made today (7 June), the Korean streaming service revealed that they have partnered with Luminate, a data company, to reflect streaming and download numbers for three of Billboard's global music charts. 

Melon's streaming data will now be considered for the following Billboard music charts: South Korea Songs, Global 200, and Global Excl. US. This partnership extends Billboard's goal to go beyond borders and Melon's mission to strengthen K-pop's global reach. 

Melon, which is powered by Kakao Entertainment, is one of Korea's most popular streaming services with over 4.5 million monthly users.
