Metallica announce ‘Life Burns Faster’ Sphere residency with No Repeat Weekends

Estimated:  reading

Metal titans Metallica are heading to the future of live music. The band have officially confirmed their Life Burns Faster residency at Sphere, marking their debut at the cutting-edge Las Vegas venue.

The residency will run across four weekends in October, with eight shows scheduled for 1 & 3, 15 & 17, 22 & 24, and 29 & 31 October.

No Repeat Weekends return

In true Metallica fashion, the band are bringing back their fan-favourite No Repeat Weekend format. That means each two-night run will feature entirely different setlists, giving diehards a reason to double (or quadruple) up.

Expect classics spanning their four-decade catalogue alongside deeper cuts — all reimagined for Sphere’s immersive environment.

Built for immersion

The Sphere has quickly become one of the most talked-about venues in the world, thanks to its 16K wraparound LED screen and next-level spatial audio system. For a band known for seismic riffs and arena-dominating production, the venue feels like a natural next step.

Drummer Lars Ulrich shared that the idea was sparked after witnessing the venue’s capabilities firsthand, describing it as “uncharted territory” and an opportunity to rethink how Metallica connect with fans in a live setting.
