Bisaya rap trailblazers Midnasty are back with a powerful reminder: sometimes, you’ve got to give yourself flowers while you’re still here.

The iconic hip-hop trio from Dumaguete released Tribute To Thyself — their first full-length album since 2015’s Brave. This seven-track project is more than just a comeback. It’s a self-reflection, a celebration of growth, and a sonic tribute to the hustle it took to get here.
“If Brave was about stepping into the world with courage, Tribute To Thyself is about looking back and saying, ‘You did good,’” shared Arkho, one-third of the group.
Tribute To Thyself leans into Midnasty’s signature blend of Bisaya bars with island life grooves — think jazz licks, reggae rhythms, and melodic reflections shaped by their home city. On ‘GASIGA’, Makoy finds faith and hope in divine timing, while ‘Arkohol’ opens up about coping with life’s curveballs.
“This album was designed to be inspiring and healing,” Makoy added. “Not just for us, but for our community.”
Whether you’ve been vibing with Midnasty since the early days or are just discovering their story, Tribute To Thyself is a heartfelt reminder of why they’re pillars of Bisaya hip-hop.
