The Met Gala is one of fashion's most competitive nights as actors, musicians, designers and some of the biggest names in entertainment all gather on the beautifully decorated steps of The Metropolitan Museum of Art in some of Fashion’s most breathtaking creations. This year’s carpet was once again created by the Kerala-based brand Neytt by Extraweave with 400 to 500 artisans having worked on the project for 90 days, spotlighting Asian craftsmanship.
The incredible carpet served as the perfect backdrop for the amazing Asian talents who returned and made their debut at the Met Gala draped in culture and decked out to match this year’s theme of "Costume Art". LISA

A picture of ethereal beauty donned in a gorgeous Robert Wun dress, BLACKPINK's LISA floated up the stunning Met Gala carpet in that meticulously crafted gown with absolute grace and poise. Accompanied by 3D printed replicas of her own arms reaching out from the dress and holding up a long piece of fabric draped over her like an elusive veil. The dress is a picture of pure elegance, turning the popstar into a work of art herself.
Rosé

Wrapped in a gorgeous black gown by Anthony Vaccarello for Yves Saint Laurent, that bejewelled bird on BLACKPINK's ROSÉ's dress is beyond just an embellishment, but a piece of fashion history. Styled by Law Roach, the dress may look minimal and understated but it is actually a perfect fit for the theme of the 2026 gala.
The crystal bird takes inspiration from a similar avian motif that is painted on the roof of the Louvre by Georges Braque. Featuring such an iconic piece of art history, Rosé lets the legacy of the motif speak for itself.

JISOO

JISOO makes her Met Gala debut in 2026, looking absolutely radiant for her first appearance on the infamous carpet. Glittering in a beautiful piece of art, her dress is custom Dior by Jonathan Anderson. The draping of the dress falls like petals on her, turning JISOO into a beautiful flower. A vision of excitement and nerves, JISOO admitted shyly that she’s looking forward to meeting the rest of BLACKPINK who are also present at this year’s gala.
JENNIE

Glowing in a hue of blue and silver, JENNIE graced the Met Gala with her presence as she made a splash with her beautiful Chanel column dress. The intricate artistry of the dress which featured 15,000 handsewn metallic sequin leaves, she describes herself perfectly saying she, “feels like a mosaic art piece coming alive”. JENNIE also echoes the same sentiment as JISOO, as she expressed her excitement to see the BLACKPINK girls during the gala as well.
Audrey Nuna

Audrey Nuna channeled her inner Cruella de Vil with an edgy black and white ensemble. Sticking to the theme of Fashion is Art, she wore an extravagant coat dress that featured chaotic black paint splatters created with beads, creating a unique and chic look. Mixed with the exaggerated collar, the structured shoulders and the stunning hat worn slightly askew, Audrey Nuna channeled her musical individuality as an artist. She drew on her unapologetic and authentic confidence as a singer and rapper to create this look which made her stand out on the green carpet.
Ejae

Keeping the fire of HUNTR/X going, EJAE, the voice of KPop Demon Hunters’ Rumi shimmered in a custom Swarovski dress, looking incredibly regal as the lights reflected off each gem on her beautifully encrusted masterpiece. Her dark bold eye makeup was a juxtaposition to the delicate glow of her gown. She pivots from her 'Golden' grandeur, embracing the allure of silver.
Ahn Hyo Seop

Completing the trio of the KPop Demon Hunters cast members who made an appearance at the Met Gala, Ahn Hyo Seop who plays Jinu made a fantastic statement with his tailored Valentino suit that was elevated with an intricate pattern of white and yellow sequins that embroidered every square inch of his jacket. Complete with the beautiful pop of colour with the tasteful red scarf, Ahn Hyo Seop definitely elevated the idea of a classic suit with this dazzling ensemble. When asked about the inspiration behind his outfit he presents a humble expression of letting authenticity shine through as he shares, “When you stop trying to impress, the real art form becomes really honest”.
KUN

Sharp, fierce and fiery are the three most perfect words to describe KUN’s amazing outfit at the 2026 Met Gala. Representing his personal artistry as being one of China’s most talented singers and rappers, he draws inspiration from his 2026 album KUN as he embodies the spirit of the focus single ‘Deadman’. As he infuses the essence of the song into his outfit, he creates a visual character tied to the track. Draped in his artistry, crafted by Thom Browne, he ascends the stairs of the MET. When asked what he’s most looking forward to at the MET, he answers with characteristic charm saying he’s eager to, “Meet some old friends, and make some new friends too.”
KARINA

aespa's KARINA stuns in culturally significant beauty, tipping her hat to her Korean heritage as she made her Met Gala debut in a Hanbok inspired gown created by Prada. Spotlighting the sentiment that individuality is the true work of art, each pleat of the carefully crafted cloak elevated her look as she infused modern sophistication with classic silhouettes. The sleek yet culturally vibrant look was definitely a highlight of the night.
NING NING

aespa’s NING NING also made an appearance on the carpet in a dramatic Gucci dress that made a strong first impression for her first time at the Met Gala. With each ruffle on her flamboyant dress NING NING embodied the strength and softness of femininity. Living up to her position as Gucci’s newest global brand ambassador, she embodies the grandeur of the brand through the organic movement of the dress that tells a story through its unique form.
